I happened to love Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, mostly because I'm in love with the characters and the aesthetics of that universe. It does falter a bit on a fundamental storytelling level, basically having the characters forget everything they learned in the first film just to learn it all over again, but it's still WAY better than the average Marvel sequel.

The good folks over at Screen Junkies love picking nits, however, so their new Honest Trailer for the MCU sequel is a delicate mix of harsh criticism and loving praise. Honestly though, any trailer that references It's Always Sunny gets bonus points—as do you if you know where that reference is buried.

It's gonna be a lot of fun seeing these characters finally interact with the rest of the Marvel Universe in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, but I'm honestly more excited for the third Guardians movie. That won't be out until 2020, though, so there's no use getting too excited just yet. In the meantime, I'm gonna chill out with my Vol. 2 Blu-ray where I can skip over the parts that don't work and watch Yondu, Rocket, and Baby Groot strut around to that Jay and the Americans tune again. Man, I do love this movie.
