If you've always wanted to own your very own ghost town, then you're in luck. One happens to be up on sale on Craigslist for a not-so-palty $225,000. But let's put things in perspective. With that money, you can buy a car or a fancy bike. Take your girl on fancy dates and go on a trip around the world. Or you could blow all of it on a bar and three rundown cabins that sit on 9.8 acres of land. There's also a small island bundled in there with its very own swimming hole.

The Craigslist ad reads:

Seneca is the real McCoy. Historic. It was a Gold Rush mining town with hotel, stores, houses, a population of maybe a thousand. Very close to historic Chinese-built gold mines -- with 500 Chinese miners and an opium den. Old mining equipment is laying around.

The deed includes all rights to mineral and timber, so you could literally strike gold with this piece of land.

Check It Out: $225,000
