This summer promises to be a pretty cool season for movies.
With The Dark Knight Rises, Prometheus and The Amazing Spider-Man being released unto the world over the coming days, weeks and months it seems like the crown for the most anticipated cinema treat of 2012 would be taken by one of these colossal celluloid adventures.
Well, Ruben Fleischer'sGangster Squad is definitely a late contendor for this award.
Starring Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Anthony Mackie, Emma Stone and a resurgent Nick Nolte, also Giovanni Ribisi but the less said about that the better, Gangster Squad will tell the true tale of Micky Cohen, an infamous East Coast gangster who turned up in LA in the 1940s and build a criminal empire.
The trailer makes it look pretty bad ass and it will be released in cinemas on September 7th 2012.
