Anticipation for G. I. Joe: Retaliation, which is the sequel to 2009's hit G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, has been running high. Production stills and character posters for the main cast in the movie were released just last month, followed by its exclusive HD trailer.
The film was set to debut in theaters on June 29th, but in a surprising move, Paramount Pictures has announced that the release of G. I. Joe: Retaliation has been delayed and pushed back to March 29, 2013.
This is a full nine months later than the original release date. Paramount explained that part of the reason for the delay was that the film will undergo a full 3D conversion.
It is increasingly evident that 3D resonates with movie-goers globally and together with Paramount, we made the decision to bring fans an even more immersive entertainment experience.
