You don’t necessarily have to work for Waste Management to be considered a garbage person. Child actors typically evolve into human rubbish later on in life. It turns out Free Willy was more than just a movie, it was the writing on the wall. Willy the whale was obviously foreshadowing the fuckery going on at SeaWorld that would be exposed 20 years later in Blackfish. And small-time theme park vandal Jason James Richter was letting everyone know drawing dicks on the aquarium wall wasn’t the only misdemeanor he was good at. He became quite proficient in the art of domestic violence later on in life.
“Free Willy” child star Jason James Richter reached a plea deal after being arrested in October for domestic violence stemming from an altercation with his girlfriend.
Richter spent two nights in jail and was released on $20,000 bail, his rep confirmed to Page Six at the time. He was later charged with two misdemeanors, one for domestic battery and one for vandalism.
He pleaded no contest to the vandalism charge and was found guilty, according to Entertainment Tonight. The court dismissed his domestic battery charge because he changed his vandalism plea from not guilty to no contest.
“Jason and his girlfriend were involved in an argument that unfortunately escalated to the point where police were called,” Richter’s rep told us in October. “However, Jason vehemently denies any physical altercation. He is devastated that anyone has been led to believe otherwise.”
A child actor doing dirtbag deeds possibly inspired by depression, drugs, and a childhood devoid of any normalcy, say it ain’t so. It’s almost like an angel earns its wings every time a child actor is arrested. Because the issue with them is not ever “if” but “when.” I’m more upset that he joined the women’s beater club and the judge denied him official entry. Chris Brown could have used the company. I have a feeling that 36 months probation, four days in jail, a mandatory 52-week domestic violence course, and owing his girlfriend plus the court money is enough to encourage Jason to jump the next time he encounters a bridge.
