This is honestly one of the craziest gadgets we've ever come across. At first glance, the FlameStower might not seem like much. It resembles a stove of sorts, and given the crazy ass cartoon flame that's drawn over it, you would assume that it is an actual stove. That's where you're wrong, because this is, in fact, a phone charger.
Yep, you read that right: it's a phone charger. So you might be thinking, why in the hell would there be fire when it's a phone charger? And why in the hell do its makers think I'm putting my brand-spanking new smartphone near an open flame?
Because that's how the charger works, duh. And it wasn't specifically made for indoor use. Just think of how handy this'll be when you're in the great outdoors and have nothing but a box of matches and an empty battery.
Still sound stupid? I didn't think so. Here's how it works:
FlameStower provides portable, easy, reliable power. Simply unfold the legs, put a small amount of water in the reservoir, place the blade in a flame and see your phones charge up. It offers off-grid, portable phone charging in a compact design for camping and power outages.
It's currently up for funding on Kickstarter.
Back It: $80
