At last year's Comic-Con, Edgar Wright showed the Hall his proof-of-concept test footage he directed for Ant-Man. It was widely kept under wraps for almost an entire year, which in this day-and-age is some kind of miracle, but it's finally been released. And while I still don't find Henry Pym and his ability to shrink to the size of an ant really all that enthralling, as a minute-long piece of footage, it looks pretty cool.
I've been a fan of Wright's ever since Spaced, but felt that Scott Pilgrim suffered under the weight of its own concept and Wright's unwavering faithfulness to the source material. I think having a major studio hovering over him will actually be a good thing to ground his comic timing and sensibilities smoothly into the Marvel Universe.
Ant-Man will be released in theaters on November 6, 2015 as part of Marvel's Phase Three.
