The Force Awakens' hype train is running at fever pitch right now. Everyone –goddamn everyone—is in on it. It's easy to get sucked into it all, regardless of how assed you are about Star Wars in general. This is the biggest deal in movieland since the tamed raptors and huge-ass stealth dinosaurs of Jurassic World.
As such, Jedimania is surfacing in all kinds of weird places. I didn't know that the world needed a vintage AT-AT toy to be modded so it could be remote-controlled with an Xbox pad, but it turned out yesterday that it totally did.
On the subject, these shambling bastards are an icon of the franchise. Not quite up there with X-Wings and TIE fighters, but instantly recognisable nonetheless. So why the hell wouldn't they make a cameo in one of gaming's hottest properties of late, Fallout 4?
As players will know, you can build yourself quite the fancy base with a little effort. There's a lot of scope for creativity, but I'd never have thought of doing this.
Youtuber Ops_Specialist built himself a hulking AT-AT base in the middle of the wasteland. It's a fine replica of Star Wars' death-bot, but I doubt the Empire's own models are as IKEA-furnished on the inside. Take an ogle:
