Elizabeth Olsen is arguably the best Olsen even though some might consider her just the bonus Olsen since her sisters Mary-Kate & Ashley have been household names all of their lives. I remember seeing Elizabeth in that weird cult movie Martha Marcy May Marlene in 2011 which is when I found out she was an actress and since then have been into every role she's taken on.
Her most recent role is opposite Paul Bettany in the Disney tv show Wanda Vision, which is awesome but I have also never seen any Marvel movie ever, so I'm a little confused while watching the now show...
Elizabeth sat down with Elle magazine to talk about her new role and how playing a character with superhuman abilities isn't initially what drew her in. She talks about how Wanda's character is a pillar of the struggle of mental health and that it was the emotions of the character that had Elizabeth set to play the role. Read the full interview here.
“Wanda Maximoff has always been this pillar of the struggle of mental health, from her pain and depression and traumatic experiences to how she completely alters the reality of the comics, the thing I held onto after reading the initial script was that she was not only powerful because of her abilities, but because of her emotions.”
