For some people, England is only good for three things. Fish and Chips, Manchester United and Edgar Wright movies.
And now it seems like Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg are about to add to their two previous collaborations together with The World's End, which comes after 2004's Shaun of the Dead and 2007's Hot Fuzz. Both of which are so damn good it hurts.
These trio of films have been referred to as the Blood & Ice Cream trilogy by the duoand filming for it's final instalment shall commence in September with a release date planned for early 2013. So we still have plenty of time to wait but the new logline can be read below.
According to Deadline it begins with "20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempt to reach the fabled pub, The World's End."
"As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, the realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind's. Reaching The World's End is the least of their worries."
Fingers crossed it rivals their previous pieces of work.
