GAMING

You know how it often is with E3. Publishers and developers want to get the hype train rolling as early as possible. So, at the show, you get something like a brief nanosecond’s footage of Master Chief’s helmet (no dick joke intended), followed by a ‘coming some time in 2018, if you guys are lucky’ sort of message.
Which is all well and good, but gamers are an impatient bunch. Sometimes, we need to see something that’s actually coming our way soon. Something more concrete, like some actual gameplay. And while you’re at it, make it freaking awesome. Gravity Rush 2 knows what’s up.
Now, Gravity Rush isn’t the biggest name. The first game started life on the PS Vita, which means that about six people worldwide got to play it before it was ported to PS4 early this year. This gravity-manipulating action adventure title was critically acclaimed, though, and if this E3 footage is anything to go by, the sequel’s sure heading the right way.
What we have here is a heaping half-hour helping of gameplay from Sony’s livestream. It’s a good introduction for those new to Gravity Rush, and also shows returning players a lot of what’s new. Could we ask for anything more than that? Damn right we couldn’t. Take an ogle.
