Report: L.A. Kings Star Drew Doughty To be Cleared of Rape Charge

Drew Doughty, the 22-year-old star who helped the L.A. Kings to their first Stanley Cup, will be cleared of rape charges in a months long investigation, according to our pals at TMZ.

Doughty had been accused by a woman he met at a bar in Hermosa Beach, CA of raping her after a cab ride back to her house. The alleged incident happened March 1st and the woman reported it to police the next day.

The investigation had been ongoing since the woman's accusations, but TMZ says the D.A. is going to reject the charge on a lack of evidence, and a police source told the site that law enforcement has issues with the accuser's credibility.
