‘Dexter’ Returns as America’s Favorite Serial Killer

Dexter Season 7 premiered last night on Showtime, bringing America's favorite vigilante serial killer back onto the airwaves. It took six long years for Deb to finally catch her adopted-half-brother in the act of silencing his Dark Passenger with a quick plunge of a sword through Colin Hanks' stomach. It's still unclear how this will affect the relationship of the on-screen brother and sister (which is already so awkward because off-screen they're now a divorced couple) but hopefully it will be treated with more drama and finesse of the entirety of last season.

The thing with serial killers is you never know who can trust, sometimes you meet a nice one--Dexter, Tom Ripley, but usually they just turn out to be a guy in clown make up who will shove a plastic bag over your face. Long before Dexter Morgan started cleaning up the trash of Miami by throwing bodies over the railing of his boat like bags of trash, America has had its fair share of killers, some more famous and deranged than others.
