Is anyone really surprised to hear that Delonte West did something stupid the other night? I don't know what the heck this guy was thinking. Heck--he probably doesn't know what he was thinking, but for some odd reason he thought that late in the first half of the game Monday night was the right time to give Jazz swingman Gordon Hayward a wet willie.
Yes, folks. A grown man playing professional basketball in the National Basketball Association thought it was a good idea to give his opponent a wet willie.
What is almost as dumb as the act was the excuse he gave after the game. First he tried to laugh it off and say that he was trying to get some lint, but than he added these words:
"We're two warriors, man, we're out there battling on the battlefield," West said. "I forgot, the NBA is a gentleman's game so we've got to fight and scrap and do it nicely. Everything is left on the court, though. That's what it is."
Huh? Mark (Cuban), are you sure you want this fool representing your franchise?
