FUNNY
brian-mcgee - August 21, 2018
So, it wasn't the best movie of the summer or the most memorable or the funniest, but overall I look back on my time spent watching Deadpool 2 in the theater fondly. There were some really funny bits, some really terrible ones, some good lines, some cringeworthy lines, some awesome characters, some that should've been culled in an earlier draft.
I'll totally watch it again if the old ball and chain wants to—I flew solo in the theater. Well, not totally solo, my plus one was Orville Redenbacher that Saturday morning.
But I digress. It's deserving of the Honest Trailer treatment, for sure, but of course Ryan Reynolds gets himself involved and the results are funnier than I expected them to be. Not the rave of the century, but what do you want for free?
If you like Honest Trailers and you like Deadpool, you'll enjoy this. It's two things you like together! What's not to love? When has that formula ever steered you wrong in the past? Oh, right, basically every single time.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to watching Deadpool carve dudes up to "9 to 5" again soon. It's fun, and somewhere along the way, people have forgotten how to have fun.
