Last week, New York Giants rookie running back David Wilson proclaimed that after the end of his career, he expected to be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. On one level, you have to like that kind of confidence. On another level, you have to think that maybe rookies who aren't playing much shouldn't be saying things like that.
So since Wilson made that public, I think it's fair that we go ahead and track his progress and rate where he stands after each week. The Giants won a hard fought game against the Washington Redskins, so let's take a look at Wilson's stats. No carries, no rushing yards to go along with no receptions and no receiving yards. Wilson did have four kickoff returns, averaging 26 yards per return with a long of 32 yards.
Canton probability after week seven - Low.
