Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns is held to be one of the seminal graphic novels of all time. So it doesn't seem so strange that an animated movie based on the comic is being released next month. And seeing as it's going to be at least a few years before we get a new live-action Batman movie, animation is all we've got.
Warner Bros. was gracious enough to release a short clip from its upcoming animated film The Dark Knight Returns (Part One). The clip gives us a brief glimpse of a Batman that truly does look like he jumped off the pages of Miller's work. It also should remind you of a scene from a little film this summer called The Dark Knight Rises.
The Dark Knight Returns (Part One) is available on Blu-ray and DVD September 25th.
