Last time Danny McBride and Jody Hill teamed with HBO, the result was Kenny Powers, one of the funniest television characters in recent memory. Now, HBO's President of Programming Michael Lombardo has announced McBride and Hill will return to the network with a brand new series: Vice Principals.

"Danny McBride and Jody Hill have created a smart, rowdy and unpredictable style of comedy that we can't get enough of," said Lombardo. "The idea of them setting their minds on high school was irresistible."

In case you couldn't tell from the title, the series will tell the story of high school vice principals. The network is currently signed on for 18 episodes, most likely spread out over multiple seasons.

"HBO was the perfect creative family for 'Eastbound & Down,' and we're excited to pack up the van for the next adventure," McBride said.

No word yet on a possible launch date. (Source)
