Comedian Patton Oswalt to Appear on ‘Agents of Shield’

Comedian and noted comic book devotee Patton Oswalt is joining the cast of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., at least for one episode. He'll be playing Agent Koenig, which is an odd choice, considering the character was a tall, blonde-haired former Nazi in the comics. I assume they won't be sticking with that back story due to Oswald's height and age, but who knows. Maybe he was frozen with Captain America for all these years.



"When they first told me the character's name, I'll admit the first thing I did is I went on Wikipedia and looked up the M.O.D.O.K. character to see if Koenig was maybe his name before he became M.O.D.O.K., but it wasn't," Oswalt said. "They keep on talking about the clairvoyant in the show and I'm like, ‘is that M.O.D.O.K.? Am I M.O.D.O.K.?'"



I'm not going to lie. I have no idea what he's talking about. But if you're a comic fan, I'm sure you do. And that's the important part.



Oswalt's episode does not yet have an air date, but the show returns to ABC on Tuesday April 1st at 8 p.m. EST/PST. (Source)
