A cheerleader for the Cincinnati Bengals was indicted today in Kentucky, where she has been accused of having sex with a student from the high school where she used to teach.
26-year-old Sarah Jones allegedly had sex with a 16-year-old student four or fives times at her apartment. Jones' mother, Cheryl, a middle school principal, was also indicted for tampering with evidence involved in her daughter's case. Both women plead not guilty in court today.
This is another stain on the Bengals reputation; since 2000 the team has had the most players arrested in the NFL.
Jones was previously in the news when she sued the website TheDirty.com after the site ran stories saying Jones had slept with several Bengals players and that she had STDs. TheDirty founder, Nik Richie, is now looking for an apology from Jones.
Jones resigned from her teaching job last November citing 'personal reasons.'
In 2009, Jones' battle with Nik Richie was national news.
Jones was even featured on ABC's '20/20' to talk about it. Jones actually won an $11 million dollar default judgement, but since her lawyer sued "TheDirt.com" instead of "TheDirty.com," the case was supposed to go back to trial this June.
Jones' arrest may put her case in jeopardy, considering defending her character will now be a little bit harder.
