OK, I'm calling it. The effing pumpkin thing has gone too far. It has jumped the shark. I hate pumpkin spice time. It's ruined Fall, which used to be my favorite season. Now every time I go to the coffee shop I'm choked by the overpowering scent of damn pumpkin spice. It smells like one of those country kitsch stores with the cinammon brooms in some small towns. It's everywhere, in beer, food, candles, you name it they have it in pumpkin. But Japan has once again topped us in level of weirdness. McDonald's, (Yes, our McDonald's), has released a culinary abomination like nothing I've seen before: Choco-Pumpkin Fries. It's a box of McDo's incredible fried ruined by covering them in chocolate and pumpkin sauce. This is a bridge too far. Just looking at the video of this thing above makes my stomach churn. Like, I just ate lunch and I seriously want to puke.
So, I'm going to finish this post and go drink some Alka-Seltzer.Â
