Chewie, Finn, and Poe Hit the Road in First Set Photos From Star Wars Episode IX

One of the biggest missed opportunities in The Last Jedi was deepening the relationship between Poe Dameron and Finn. Force Awakens set them up for a sort of mentor/mentee relationship, but I guess Poe's constant poor decision making painted him as something of a bad mentor.

Nevertheless, the two barely shared any screen time in the film, and J.J. Abrams was clearly having none of that when he returned for Episode IX. The first set photos from the film have leaked and they show the old friends back together again, this time with Chewbacca in tow. Does this mean that, gasp, Chewie might actually have something to do in this film?

Look, I don't know what they're getting up to, but it looks like some good old fashioned adventure-type stuff. And Last Jedi haters will be happy to see that Rose is nowhere to be found. Perhaps she's having a spa day with Leia and Rey. Women, amirite?
