Charli XCX is taking the cover of British GQ this week, promoting her upcoming BRAT album which has already become a summer hit even though it isn't set to be released until June 7th. Charli's singles Von Dutch and 360 have already gone viral across the internet so we're sure her next single will be an instant hit like the last two.

The singer spoke to the magazine about her new album and explained more about what she thinks pop music is, admitting that she wanted her lyrics to be controversial.

“I wanted my lyrics to be conversational because that’s what I think pop culture actually is: it’s a 15-second TikTok, a selfie in a cloud, a text to your friends being like ‘Where you at, bitch?’”
