This might sound incredibly ignorant, but what is the difference between workout shorts and Spanx? From my layman’s perspective there isn’t much aside from the name. They are still made of elastic that makes the average woman’s ass look several degrees tighter. And if I am right about that then they’re pretty much the same as underwear, but for some reason acceptable to be worn in public.

And if you think the difference between those two is the same as the difference between normal underwear and bikini bottoms, I am way ahead of you.

It is pretty much the same, but women hardly ever wear bikini bottoms outside of swimming related activities. If I saw a woman working out in a bikini that was labeled as exercise gear I would be making the same observation. The setting makes all the difference.

I am about to give up on trying to make sense out of fashion. It is a chaotic industry with no thought behind it. It’s like trying to reason with a bipolar schizophrenic. I’m only wasting my time. So long as they aren’t harming anything, why shouldn’t I let them continue to live their delusion?
