Ah, Broforce. Keep being awesome.
The Expendables, as we know, is pretty much the ultimate recipe for a good manly movie series. You start with the biggest action stars of the last couple decades, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sly Stallone and such. You throw them all in together as an ensemble, and add ridiculous death-defying situations for them all to overcome.
A liberal dose of bad dudes to eviscerate --and a couple corsets for the actors so nobody would guess they were pushing sixty—later, you've got pure movie magic right there. Explosions, car chases and gunplay-amundo. Could you ask for more than that? You're damn right you couldn't.
While movieland has Expendables, gamers have Broforce. The concept is pretty well the same, except the action takes place in Ye Olde 8-bit form and you're controlling the stars of the show yourself. It's a retro style arcade shooter, featuring everyone from Judge Dredd to Rambo, and it's badass.
This Ego-favorite title is now hitting us with both barrels of the Lightning Strikes Twice update, which adds a couple new features and two new Bros to play as: Mortal Kombat's very own thunder god Raiden (Broden) and the dude from Highlander (Brolander). It's all more destructive than ever, and that's never a bad thing. Check it out in action below:
