Combine LEGO and the hottest trends in pop culture and you get pure awesomeness. The series is called Brick Sketches and it's by the fantabulous artist Chris McVeigh. He also happens to be a huge LEGO enthusiast, as if that part's not obvious enough (just take a look at his work!)

Essentially, Chris takes some of the most popular figures in geekery and transforms them into amazing works of art using LEGO bricks and tiles--and nothing more. Check out the gallery for a sampling of Chris's LEGO awesomeness!

Chris on Brick Sketches:

At 12×16 studs, they're quite small and that makes it a real challenge to represent the characters using plates and tiles. There are currently nine in the series, and I've got a dozen more in development. I got the idea to do these brick sketches after a number of my artist friends starting produced incredible marker sketches on small 4?x 6? card stock.
