Brady Quinn of the Kansas City Chiefs is the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his play in the win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, something I personally never saw coming. I've taken plenty of shots at the guy, and that's because he just hasn't been a very effective NFL QB, but to perform the way that he did in the wake of the Jovan Belcher murder-suicide was extremely impressive.
Quinn was 19 of 23 for 201 yards and two TD passes with no picks in guiding Kansas City to just their second win of the year. The whole team deserves a ton of recognition for going out there and winning after the tragedy that occurred. Quinn became the first KC QB to win the award since 2006.
If you haven't seen his remarks after the game, those deserve to be recognized too. Quinn spoke from the heart about what happened and his words were spot on.
