Ed Norton may have missed out on one of this summer's biggest franchise films when he bowed out returning as Bruce Banner in The Avengers, but that doesn't mean he hasn't joined another. As Eric Byer in The Bourne Legacy, Norton has the difficult task of trying to keep tabs on Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross, one of Bourne's fellow spies, and if there's one thing we've learned from the Bourne movies is that these guys are really good at running away really fast. So good luck, Ed.
In the wake of Jason Bourne's dismemberment of Operation Blackbriar, the CIA decides to dispose of their other black ops programs, which includes the termination of their field agents. However, Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner), an agent from Operation Outcome, escapes from being executed and, with the help of an Outcome scientist (Rachel Weisz), sets out to expose the crimes of his superiors.
The Bourne Legacy hits theaters August 10th.
