When a team is made up of superstars like the Men's Olympic Basketball team is, losing anyone sucks. Losing a guy that can change the game all on his own like Blake Griffin stings, but sadly Team USA is going to have to do just that.
The Clippers star injured his knee recently in practice. He flew back to LA to have team doctors take a look at it. As luck would have it he has a torn meniscus in his left knee; out for the Olympics, but back for training camp. If you watch the video you can see where he appears to hit the court with his knee on one play. On the next one he comes down hard on the same knee and appears to be in pain.
While we will miss seeing Griffin dunk in several different languages at the Olympics, but it will give us a chance to see former Kentucky star Anthony Davis play with the big boys before he starts his first NBA season.
