Legendary funnyman Bill Cosby is heading back to television, Deadline is reporting. The comedian best known for the hugely popular 1980's classic The Cosby Show is set to return to NBC with an all new "multi-generational family" sitcom. The new show will be Cosby's first full-time foray into scripted television since his CBS sitcom Cosby ended in 2000.
Like The Cosby Show, which ended 22-years ago, the currently untitled program will showcase Cosby's comedic take on family life. It will also be produced by Tom Werner, who was behind the production of the original show.
While this is all very exciting, Deadline is also reporting that Cosby is in talks to reboot Fat Albert And The Cosby Kids, which is much bigger news, in my opinion. It's been a while since I've hung out with Bill and all the gang, learning from each other while we do our thing. So if the show does come back, we're gonna have a good time. Hey, hey, hey.
