Turkeys get a hell of a rough deal. These poor bastards are notorious dumbasses, they have what appears to be a crimson ballsack dangling from their faces, and they taste delicious. As such, it's no surprise that a holiday known as Turkey Day is not a time to celebrate these birds. Having assorted spices and stuffing and such shoved up your hindquarters isn't something any man or beast would appreciate, after all.
In a further Thanksgiving affront to turkeys everywhere, videogameheat created this charming mod of Duck Hunt. The more decrepit gamers among us will remember this Zapper-powered NES shooter, but not quite like this.
Turkey Hunt is a great improvement, in many ways. Or rather, one way, but it's a damn good one. That darn dog is no more. The titular turkey isn't being hunted at all, it simply leaps into/back out of the grass in the dog's stead. Meanwhile, your victims themselves are the same pixelated ducks of yore, which we were shooting in the ass back in 1984.
In short, what we have right here is further proof that an awkwardly superimposed turkey makes everything better. Always.
