Did you ever wonder how Batman's butler Alfred spent his formative years? Wait, really? You've thought about this before? Seriously? Well anyway, Alfred Pennyworth is the latest in a long line of tertiary comic book characters getting the sexy treatment thanks to a new series no one is going to watch, and not just because it's a TV show about Alfred the Butler.

No, people won't be tuning in for Pennyworth because it's going to be on EPIX. What even is EPIX? Is it a network? A streaming service? A pill guaranteed to make my dick rock hard for hours? Who can tell? Honestly, though, this went from a joke in the Teen Titans GO! movie to an honest to goodness TV series...

"Coming Broom" gets me every time. Pennyworth should steal that tagline.

I get that DC doesn't want to stretch their heavy hitters like Batman thin, but that doesn't mean we should keep making these TV shows about events, people, and places surrounding Batman minus the caped crusader. It's one thing for DC Universe to create terrible shows no one wants to watch to fill their streaming service, but this is an EPIX original, so who knows what the story is here.

Pennyworth is indeed Coming Broom and will join all of the other EPIX original favorites like Get Shorty and that political show with Nick Nolte beginning July 29.
