It's "Who's More Grizzled: Superhero Edition" in this new clip from next weekend's big DCEU release, Justice League. It's sad that this moment—when Batman meets Aquaman for the first time on the big screen—isn't more cool or iconic. Likely it's because we barely know this Batman and we don't know this Aquaman at all, so we're all still kinda feeling each other out here.
It's really going to be interesting watching this movie and knowing all that's riding on it, all the various films that have converged to make this moment happen, and how well executed it's going to be. Rumors cropped up recently that not only was Justice League's two hour and one minute running time planned all along, it was actually mandated by the studio due to the excessive length of Batman v Superman.
I wonder if the tone is gonna gel, if the humor's gonna land, if the action's gonna be easy to follow, and if it's not going to feel like an about to explode bratwurst. I wonder and I worry and I can't help but think that it'll all be alright in the end and all the worrying was for nothing, but with the precedent that's been set in this franchise already, I can't help but do more worrying than wondering. Justice League finally, mercifully opens one week from tonight.
