Marvel's biggest film ever, Avengers: Endgame, is heading back to theaters this weekend with some additional material tacked on before and after the film, but those of you who are waiting to catch it on home video will have to wait until mid-August. If you fall into this camp, may I suggest you avoid the above trailer as it features all manner of spoilers, including the film's big climactic moment.
As everyone knows by now, Endgame's worldwide box office haul is about fifty million dollars shy of current record holder Avatar, which is why Marvel is attempting to draw fans back to theaters this weekend with never before seen footage. That sounds a bit daunting, however, as the film's three hour running time is already a bladder-bursting effort, so adding another ten to fifteen minutes onto it seems like it may actually have the potential to keep some folks away.
The die hards will likely turn out, however, and push the film past Avatar's box office record. Or maybe it won't, because people might have Marvel fatigue. It hasn't happened yet, however, as much as everyone keeps predicting it will, but we'll find out this weekend. Check out the full compliment of special features that will be available on the Blu-ray editions of Avengers: Endgame, which hits home video on August 13.
