You've got to hand it to Ubisoft. These renegade badasses give no effs. They're cruising through the gates of hell on grandma's mobility scooter, fearing nothing and no-one. If they want to give their DLC a tediously appropriate name, they're going to unapologetically do so.

And what could be more tediously appropriate than naming it Dead Kings? After all, Unity is set in the midst of the French Revolution. During which, as we know, it was regal head-lopping-amundo down Paris way. It was a bad time to be wearing one of those fancy-ass rich guy wigs, that's for sure.

So, Dead Kings it is. But we're not talking literally. This add-on won't see us executing Louis XVI. No Call of Duty-esque ‘press X to decapitate.' Instead, we're cruising about in the catacombs ‘neath Saint Denis. There's more skulls, rats and stabbing than you can handle right here, as this cinematic trailer shows.

This installment will be available for free from January 13, and should be just the thing to bring players back to Assassin's Creed: Unity after the dark days of the bugtastic.
