We don't know what swashes are, or what buckling them involves, but the answer could well be found within Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. It's a haven of every pirate-y cliche you care to mention. Rum? Questionable British accents? Topless dudes with their rippling chests and/or manboobs exposed to the Caribbean sun as nature intended? Cannonballs blasting stray limbs and general blood-leaking gore across the deck? Worry not, gentlemen, it's all here.

More specifically, it's all in the latest trailer for the game. This time, we're taking a look at the plot, as Edward Kenway's life of treasure hunting on the high seas collides with his increasing desire to stealthily dash about on rooftops and stab people in the eyeball with wristblades.

True, Ubisoft have been rather overdoing the trailertastic of late. We'll excuse their ball-busting enthusiasm, though, because this is shaping up to be something special. Take a look.
