I have my tickets to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens this Friday and I cannot wait. While no reviews have come out, the initial reaction of many celebs who saw the film last night at the premiere in LA was overwhelmingly positive. It's hard, seeing as my job is to look at crap on the Internet, to avoid spoilers until Friday. Especially if a pissed off group called The Alliance to Preserve the Expanded Universe have their way. These nerds are pissed off that Disney has jettisoned all of the books, comics, and shows that have come out over the last couple of decades as canon and have made it "Star Wars Legends". In other words, it didn't really happen. Let's forget that none of it actually happened and remember that. The group is threatening to spoil The Force Awakens on social media if Disney doesn't agree to continue making expanded universe materials.
There is nothing worse than a troll except maybe for people who spoil things. Combine the two and you've got one serious asshole. I hope that these are idle threats because I can see some jerk pissed off that there is no Admiral Thrawn in the canon that they would ruin the movie for thousands of fans. People suck.
