GAMING

It's easy to see why Angry Birds is the game of choice for many people. First of all, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to get at least two stars in most of the game's levels. Second of all, the entertainment factor of the series is huge, thanks in part to its bright and bold graphics and kooky soundtrack. It also helps that the birds are just so darn adorable when they're angry--which happens to be all the time.
The latest in the franchise is Angry Birds Space, which was announced last March 22nd by no less than astronaut Don Pettie himself from the International Space Station. As expected, the game has become another huge hit for Rovio, who revealed on Twitter some pretty impressive news: "10 million Angry Birds Space downloads in less than 3 days! Thanks to our fans, stay tuned for more!"
Angry Birds Space is set in (you guessed it!) outer space. You'll have your usual set of avian ammunition to fling at the green pigs, who are still up to their old egg-stealing tricks. The setting of the game literally adds a whole different dimension as well, since you now have to account for gravity (or the lack thereof) each and every time you send a bird flying across space.
You can expect to see the angry birds dressed in familiar sci-fi costumes and hear some pretty funky otherworldly music playing in the background. The pigs will also be stationed on planetoids this time around instead of the usual flat surfaces across from your birds, so that adds to the challenge as well.
You can download Angry Birds Space (for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad) for $0.99 or get the HD version (for iPad only) for $2.99 from the iTunes App Store.
