Well, damn.
As I said earlier this week, Mortal Kombat X hasn't missed a beat with its DLC characters. From awesome-if-slightly-camp cowboys like Erron Black to horror legends like Jason Voorhees, newcomers to established veterans, there's been something for everyone.
When Ed Boon announced another DLC reveal, there was a fair amount of hype spilling around the Internet from fans. Now we know exactly what's coming our way, and it's looking pretty sweet to me. My own personal prediction of a playable Barney the Dinosaur didn't come true (I've been dreaming up possibilities for his Fatalities since I made the snarky comment on Wednesday), but I'll happily take this instead.
Oh yes indeed. Texas Chainsaw Massacre's Leatherface and Alien's Xenomorph are joining the Kombatants early next year, as part of DLC Kombat Pack 2. You can see them practicing this whole Mortal Kombat thing –in goretacular fashion, natch-- in the trailer below.
Elsewhere in the new additions, there's Tri-Borg (described by Kotaku as ‘a mashup of Cyrax, Sektor and Robot Smoke') and Bo Rai Cho, master of a whole new fighting style. Take a look:
