A-Rod’s Flirt Buddy Has Been Identified and She’s an Australian Swimsuit Model

The man may be striking out at the plate—when he is actually playing that is—but the man sure knows how to pick ‘em when it comes to the ladies. In case you haven't heard, the third baseman for the New York Yankees (do I really need to say that it's Alex Rodriguez? Who doesn't know that?) was pulled from Game 1 of the ALCS, but he wasn't done playing yet. He managed to pick up a babe sitting near the dugout.

Apparently a fan took offense to his lack of concern for the game as A-Rod and the woman tossed a baseball back and forth (supposedly to exchange phone numbers), and reported it to the media. You know those media types—they report anything! Now they have managed to find out who the lovely young lady is—Kyna Treacy, an Australian swimsuit model and designer for Kini Bikini.

A-Rod's actions that night has certainly generated a lot of press (look at her; can you blame him?); none of it too favorable to him. Fans are outraged (shocker), and rumors have been running rampant.

Someone actually tried to run with a ‘rumor' that the Yankees were taking to the Marlins about trading A-Rod to them, but the only Marlin mentioned was reliever Heath Bell.

Bell? Really? Even in his day the man wasn't worth the dirt off A-Rod's cleats. What made this little nugget even better is that it claimed that the Yankees were going to pay the balance of A-Rod's contract (more than $100 million over the next five years) and the remainder of Bell's.

So essentially they were going to kick him out of New York and send him to sunny Miami with $100 million because he picked up a model during a game the Yankees lost? Come on man!

Just to make sure no one believed it this tweet was sent out to refute the claim:

Prior to what was supposed to be Game 4 of the ALCS Wednesday night before it was rained out, there were rumors that A-Rod was being benched because Joe Girardi was mad about the whole ‘Flirt-Gate' mess. A tweet later refuted that claim as well:

Cashman says A-Rod's benching is purely baseball related, and nothing to do with story that he flirted with women during game. #Yankees

I understand your pain Yankees fans. Your team is blowing it big in the post season. At least A-Rod wins the ‘hot babe' contest.
