Some actors play the game when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and some just don't care. Frank Grillo is in the latter camp as he revealed in a recent interview that he shot a scene for the upcoming fourth Avengers film, despite his character Crossbones dying in the opening scene of Captain America: Civil War.
While appearing on the UFC Unfiltered podcast, Grillo dropped this nugget of information...
"[Crossbones] makes an appearance in the next Avengers movie," he confirmed. "But it's a flashback. Yeah and I'm allowed to say whatever I want because I'm never doing another Marvel movie."
I love actors that categorically do not give a shit about NDAs and all this other nonsense that Hollywood uses to keep things under wraps. Yes, there are things worth keeping secret, but at the end of the day, these are just movies and it really doesn't matter.
It's a shame that Crossbones won't be seen again after this, as he's such a fascinating character in the comics and Winter Soldier set him up for a lot that was chucked out the window when he died in Civil War's first act. Now that time travel is more or less confirmed for Avengers 4, which pivotal Avengers 1-3 moments are you looking forward to them revisiting in this Phase III finale?
