Way back when Black Mirror first began, it consisted of a pair of three-episode seasons, and has since grown into a monstrosity thanks to its second life on Netflix. Well, the show looks like it's getting back to its roots for its upcoming fifth season by presenting its first three-episode season in quite some time.
As of now, we only know the names of two of the three episodes: Anthony Mackie and Aquaman's Yahya Abdul-Mateen II headline one titled Striking Vipers, while Sherlock's Andrew Scott stars in Smithereens. The title of the episode featuring Miley Cyrus and Sharp Objects' Madison Davenport has not yet been revealed, thought it was written—as were all of this season's episodes—by series creator Charlie Brooker.
While I wouldn't say that there are any episodes of Black Mirror I think are "bad" there's a bunch I have no interest in watching again. Shut Up and Dance is probably the most notable example of this, though the one where the Prime Minister fucks a pig is another I haven't run back to rewatch.
All three episodes in Black Mirror's fifth season will be available to stream, exclusively on Netflix, beginning June 5. All previous episodes can be streamed now.
