Hot off of confirmation that the film will indeed run over three hours—three hours and two minutes to be exact—a new featurette was released for Avengers: Endgame in which the surviving members of Earth's Mightiest Heroes discuss how they're moving on from their first major loss.
Essentially they're not moving on, no spoiler alert there, otherwise there would be no movie. They're moving on by going back to fix Thanos' snap and bring their friends back from the dead.
Chris Evans mentions that Marvel is really good at building people back up once they've hit bottom, but something tells me that this movie is going to be two and a half hours of dourness and misery before we get to the cathartic final thirty minutes. I'm also going to go out on a limb here and say that this movie will open huge and drop quickly. I don't know that there's a ton of replay value for a three hour movie that's mostly depressing.
Of course, I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again. This is only ten minutes shorter than Titanic and look how many times people saw that movie.
Avengers: Endgame avenges its way into theaters on April 26.
