If you hear anything around the water cooler these days when discussing favorite films and TV shows, it's, when the hell is there going to be a decent Ruth Bader Ginsburg movie? It does make sense. There've been like five Babe Ruth feature films. A dozen Queen Elizabeth bio-pics just last month. Where's the Bader Ginsburg quotient?

Penned by Ginsburg's own screenwriting nephew, the script "On the Basis of Sex" has been floating around Hollywood for several years now with Natalie Portman roughly agreeing to take on Ginsburg in her legal prime. Battling gender discrimination in courts and equal rights in the streets. Also, making sweet love to her husband, Marty, to be played by the dashing Armie Hammer.

Because now is the time for the movie about our nation's second female Supreme Court Justice, Participant Media shit-canned Natalie Portman who wouldn't commit to immediate filming and replaced her with Felicity Jones. The white-washing protests concerning a British Protestant portraying an American Jew are likely to be very modestly attended.

There are currently two kinds of movies being produced in Hollywood. Mega-marketed comic book blockbusters. Those pay the rent. And anything with an elevator pitch that starts with "With under attack by Trump and the alt-right, this film is needed now more than ever." People in this town hate to lose money. But the power of virtue signaling is overwhelming even the extreme greed. There's a window.

Save the date in 2018. Ruth Bader Ginsburg like you've never seen her before. 33, stacked, and busting out in a tight white tank. Bring extra liniment.
