Public school is a scam. Over the time it takes to work your way through 12 grades you never really learn anything worthwhile that you’ll need in the real world. Mathematics is no help when you’re attempting to get to the root of why your neighbor is always a prick. You can’t use the facts you picked up about Napoleon Bonaparte in History to figure out if the girl at the bar that you never want to bring home to mom is too far over the legal limit to consent. And being able to recite the entire periodic table won’t give anyone guidance on what to do when your employer tanks the company after being outed as an aggressive sexual hog.  I’m just suggesting that maybe we can throw in a life skills course or two for good measure. Because Harvey Weinstein’s employees are still showing up to work.

The meltdown of former Hollywood powerhouse the Weinstein Company has left its staff in something of a twilight zone. Eight months after Harvey Weinstein‘s massive sexual misconduct scandal broke, plunging his former studio into chaos and bankruptcy, sources say company employees are still getting paid, and some of them are even still showing up at the LA office.

“Some people are going in and looking for jobs [at other companies], some are going in to tie up loose ends on projects they had been working on before everything happened, and some are just going in because they don’t know what else to do,” said a source.

An insider says that the long-suffering staffers have no idea whether the sale of the company will be a “fire sale” — with an investor hoping to pick up the catalog and other assets — or if a buyer will hire the employees and reinvigorate the company.

“You can’t blame their bosses for keeping them in the dark,” said the source, “because they don’t know the answers either. It’s awful.”

Rent is pretty high in LA. A two bedroom in gang bang central costs an arm and a leg. Possibly in a literal sense after an inevitable altercation ensues when incorrectly answering the infamous “where you from” question from your very concerned, and very curious local neighborhood vato loco.  Employees that show up still confused about their next career move should probably look into moving back into their parents house in the meantime. Otherwise they may become desperate and willingly to do anything for work. And we all know how any desperate individual associated with Weinstein ends up.

I know what you're thinking - Who's Harvey Weinstein? I've never heard of him. Well, you can catch up on this very under-the-radar story right HERE
