And yes, before you vent, I know that was a Brooks and Dunn song, but the phrase "Boot Scootin' Boogie" never fails to make me chuckle.

Anyway, if your grandad had a film equivalent this winter of Aquaman, it would be Clint Eastwood's upcoming drug smuggling drama The Mule. Everyone's favorite high-waisted slacks fashionista is back behind the camera for the second time this year—following February's 15:17 to Paris—and his first time in front of the camera since 2012's The Trouble with the Curve, a serious look at the damage caused by Peyronie's disease.

Clint's latest has a theme song sung by country music and chain restaurant legend Toby Keith, a sharp contrast from Clint's own warbled theme song for 2008's Gran Torino. It's called, "Don't Let the Old Man In" which is a timely anthem and solid advice for surviving in Trump's America. It might not make you scoot a boot, so to speak, but it'll definitely make you think about the marginalized old white men in our society that are forced to run drugs for Mexican cartels. It's an epidemic, and I hope this film shines a bright light on it.

The Mule opens on December 14, though don't expect grandad to go see it until it's been out for a month.
