Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper Decide to Duet in Music Video for ‘A Star is Born’ (VIDEO)

It's gonna be a big movie going weekend starting one week from today when both Venom and A Star is Born kick off the month of October. The two films are expected to combine for over $100 million dollars next weekend and this debut single from the latter featuring the film's stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper might just make you believe that this fourth remake of A Star is Born is worth seeing.

"Shallow" is the big soaring theme song to the film, an old hit for Cooper's Jackson Maine that is revitalized thanks to his duet of it with rising star Ally, played by Gaga. It's not a half bad tune, and something tells me it's got the potential to be a breakout hit that we're sure to hear to death until Christmas music starts playing the day after fucking Thanksgiving.

This is one of the several original songs in the film co-written by Gaga with several different collaborators including Cooper, Lukas Nelson, Jason Isbell and Mark Ronson. Word on the street is that this is going to be a major awards contender as well, and if it lights the box office on fire along the way, I can guarantee it'll be a player in this year's awards season.

A Star is Born opens one week from today, on October 5.
