Poor Tom Holland. He can't seem to do anything right. Unless that's the exact image Marvel wants you to have of the adorable Brit actor currently playing Spider-Man in the MCU.

Holland has earned a reputation as something of a spoiler delivery system thanks to his inability to know when to stop sharing. However, his latest gaffe—and the reaction to it by Marvel chief Kevin Feige—leads me to believe there may be something calculated to all of this.

Holland was attending Ace Comic Con in Seattle with some other MCU stalwarts and created this video to basically say that he had nothing to announce in regard to the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel. Then he says he just received the script and holds up an iPad revealing the film's title, Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Let's table the conspiracy talk for a moment to address that title. What's gonna happen in this one, Spider-Man's gonna befriend Yellow Dog?

500 bonus points to anyone at all who understood that reference.

Okay, now to the matter at hand. There's no way this happened accidentally. Marvel honcho Kevin Feige spoke with Cinema Blend about the incident and confirmed that the title is indeed Spider-Man: Far From Home, and that it's actually a multi-layered title...

[It's] similar [to Spider-Man: Homecoming]. I won't say what the meanings are, but we enjoy that title because, like Homecoming, it is full of alternate meaning. And we liked continuing the 'Home' thing, with the little Spidey symbol in the 'Home.'

Yeah, yeah, we get it, you're clever. I have to admire them for giving this information to Holland to reveal, as if to act like it was just keeping with his style of accidentally revealing things. It's well played and they're far more clever than I initially gave them credit for, but come on, this was all an act. Spider-Man: Far From Home will be the first MCU film released after Avengers 4, with a tentative release date of July 5, 2019.
