Is nothing sacred in Deadpool's world? Not only does the Merc with a Mouth get in some good digs at DC's decidedly darker take on superheroes, he even makes fun of his own pathetic big screen beginning from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This red band trailer gives us not only a more foul-mouthed and violent trailer than we've seen for the film to date, it's also got a great sense of what the action is going to be like this time around, and it's certainly much more chaotic looking.

Set to the dulcet tones of "Mama Said Knock You Out" by the Cool James that all the ladies love, this new trailer shows that with an increased budget comes increased mayhem. There's really not a frame of this trailer where something isn't blowing up, about to be blown up, or just been blown up. It's clearly an indication that they're going bigger for the sequel, but Deadpool knows better than anyone that bigger doesn't necessarily mean better.

Let's be honest, in the wake of Infinity War, it would've been nice to have a low-stakes comic book movie like the first Deadpool. This doesn't look much like the first one though, so let's keep our fingers crossed that we've just reached the point where a great marketing campaign has run out of steam. Advanced tickets are on sale now for Deadpool 2's premiere on May 18.
