I find myself being thankful we no longer partake in the custom of human sacrifices. I think that is one thing that we can agree on, as a society. If we were to go back to the Aztec way of chopping up young women to bring about a good harvest, then it is women like Pia Mia that we would be taking out of the gene pool.
I do not know about you, but the thought of weeding out the best looking amongst us for the sake of having some more corn is not a sacrifice that I am willing to make. That is a good sign for my own maturity, I think, because even though I know I have no chance with a woman such as this, I still do not think she should be brutally murdered in the name of a blood ritual. And I am convinced that is a good thing.
What kind of a world would we be living in if everyone who was not able to have something decided to keep anyone else from having it? There would be no more sports cars, no more mansions, expensive liquor. What's the point of living if we don't share the world with those things?
